Erma Gordon meets with Japanese delegation
The MBA of SW Michigan had the fortunate opportunity through Colleagues International Leadership Program to provide a presentation to Mr. Yasumichi Tanaka Assistant Director, Fiscal and Financial Division, Miyazaki Prefecture, Government of Japan. Mr. works on Regional Economic Development in his country and was interested in just how Minorities and women owned businesses understand economic development, entrepreneurship, business development and growth and how local governments allocate their resources to minorities to advance their goals and identify the main promoters of urban enterprises. He wanted to know about rules/conditions governing minority and foreign business development in our area.

About the Minority Business Alliance of Southwest Michigan

The Minority Business Alliance of Southwest Michigan believes owning a business empowers minorities and women and ultimately benefits entire communities.

We’re dedicated to helping those who may not otherwise be given a chance, and help them achieve their potential. We also help established minority- and women-owned businesses ascend to even greater heights.

As a non-profit, we measure our success, not by the money in our coffers, but by the accomplishments of our members.

We hope to give minorities and women the tools to find strength and pride in themselves. In doing so, they can pass on lessons, encouragements, and wisdom to others, lifting their community as they lift themselves.

The Minority Business Alliance of Southwest Michigan is always looking for new members, sponsors, and volunteers to help us fulfill our mission of advancing minority- and women-owned businesses to successfully compete in all market sectors through networking, resource development, and education with cultural sensitivity, identifying hidden potential.

To see how you can be a part of the Minority Business Alliance call (269) 388-3853 or e-mail Erma Gordon at ermagordonmba@yahoo.com.
